Blah, Blah, Blah... You may have something there. I was riding in the car with my son who went to his first prom, turned 18 and graduated last month. I think with his graduation on the horizon he began some deep thought about the future. He had made some impressive and powerful comments over the past few months. On this day his comment to me was... "The meaning of life is finding YOUR meaning of life." WOW! What a simple statement and yet a very powerful statement. How many of us are living someone else's "meaning of life." I met a friend who became a lawyer because her father did not think her dream would make her enough money. She became ill and guess what, she got better but only when she pursued her own "meaning of life." And, sometimes our meaning of life changes along the way and we need to be aware of that... this is usually called a "mid life crises" but many times it is us starting to understand our very own "meaning of life" and how powerful is that!
We never know what to expect in life... sometimes the darkest moments become the brightest moments. Like you, I have had a life of ups and downs and at certain points in my life I wasn't sure if I could go get much further down.
